I don't normally say this, but please view this image at full size, because the preview resolution doesn't show squat.

Since I put a fair amount of work into the helmet of my Pyramid Head costume, I thought it would be worthwhile showing it from a few different angles (especially since the back isn't shown in the photo of the full costume). It's mostly made out of foam core, and the various doodads poking out from the surface are styrofoam.

When I first saw the preview for the Silent Hill movie, I didn't get a clear view of the side panels on his helmet, and I mistakenly thought that they were a coarse wire mesh. For this costume, I figured that that would actually look pretty good, and would also be a convenient way to obscure a couple of eye holes. I'm happy with the way that worked out in the finished product: I like the appearance as much as the "grid of bolts" look that they used in the movie, and visibility isn't bad, all things considered.
