Finally, after 2 years or more, I've gotten around to updating my web site. The main difference is that I've finally set up a decent art gallery system, including written descriptions of everything. (I've had artwork up on my website since 1995, but I've never done anything fancier than plain images before.) I wrote my own gallery code in PHP, which is nice because it allows me to associate more than one image with a particular piece of artwork. Much of what I do is sculpture, which is best shown off from multiple angles, but I've never seen an online gallery that supports this concept. I also like being able to show work-in-progress pictures, so there's another reason for supporting multiple images. Art is a
process, dammit! (Okay okay, I'm done being righteously indignant.)
To see what I'm talking about, take a look at my
gloop entry, for example.
Anyway, in order to do all this fancy crap, I had to move my home page to a different server. It's now located at
http://cruftforce7.com/jim/. There isn't much there in the way of art that isn't already here, but I'm happy about the gallery stuff, so I thought it was worth mentioning.

Thanks for relaying the tale of BoB. Cute story! Cute bunny!
Duh, I have been so lax about keeping up with online stuff. I only just noticed your comment on my "BoB" desktop!
To answer your question about her name: well, YOUR idea is much more interesting!
But, the truth is: When P brought her home, she was so small ([link]) that we weren't certain of her gender. However, when we first let her wander around the living room (supervised of course), she was very cautious - she would stretch her neck out and bob her head up and down before creeping forward slowly, until she became more confident. The name "BoB" stuck, even after we figured out she was a girl. The BoB was mostly because I liked how it looked, like it was BoBbInG.
I still like your idea better!
Hey, keep in touch, man!
